Individuals interested in receiving Vocational Adjustment Training (VAT), Work Readiness, or Employment Services through Leadership Empowerment Group must first connect with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Vocational Rehabilitation program.
Individuals, parents, teachers, or other support professionals can contact Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to request vocational rehabilitation assistance. To apply and find out if you qualify for Vocational Rehabilitation Services call 1-800-628-5115 or email vr.office.locator@twc.texas.gov
A TWC counselor will discuss the individual's disability, abilities, interests, employment goals, and challenges they may face in the workplace.
TWC reviews the individual's information to determine whether they qualify for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
Once eligible, the individual and their counselor create an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE), identifying employment goals and the services needed to achieve them.
Individuals can tell their VR counselor they are interested in receiving services through Leadership Empowerment Group. If LEG is an appropriate approved provider, the counselor can arrange a referral and authorize services.
Once the referral and authorization are complete, L.E.G. coordinates with the individual to begin their approved training or employment support services.
L.E.G. supports individuals in developing workplace skills, preparing for employment, finding job opportunities, and working toward long-term employment success, depending on the services authorized.
